Help every New Zealand child get the best start possible by knitting singlets, socks/booties & beanies to keep them warm over the colder months
Plunket is a charity and relies on community support to keep all of its services running. Plunket is there to support families and their young children – from new babies to five year olds. One way you can help support families is to knit clothing for babies and young children which will be given to those who need a little extra support.
It’s an unfortunate fact that many young children living in New Zealand are not adequately equipped with suitable clothing to keep them warm when it’s cold both inside and outside the home.
Knitting singlets, socks/booties and beanies is a great way to help others in need, and provide much-needed warmth and comfort for children whatever the weather. And it’s a lovely way to let new parents know that they are not starting their parenting journey alone, reminding them that there is community support and people who care.
Please help us reach this target of 15,000 items of clothing by 31st May 2014
When you have finished, drop off your singlets/socks/booties/beanies to any Knit World Shop
or send them to Knit World, PO Box 30645, Lower Hutt, 5040
or Knit World 62 Queens Drive, Lower Hutt 5010
