Description

This knitting pattern PDF is for the Duplex Beanie and Cowl. These accessories use stranded colourwork to create this chain like effect. By using a speckled yarn for the base (contrast colour) a different look can be achieved.

This well-proportioned beanie features an unusual style of shaping that allows the colourwork pattern to extend to the crown. The method of shaping creates faux seams that can be worn at the sides or front and back facing. The generous rib edging can be adjusted when folded back to achieve the wearer’s desired fit. It can be topped with a large pompom.

The cosy cowl is simple to style and wear. The colourwork pattern weaves its way across a painterly background of tonal colour and is framed either side with a short section of rib.

The stranded colourwork pattern can be worked from the chart or the written instructions.

The Duplex Beanie and Cowl require intermediate knitting skills.
